If I settle up, can I re-settle up later?
Yes, you can settle up as many times as you want. The numbers will be based on the current entries. You can view all the current entries by clicking the menu icon and selecting the View Entries option.
Can you edit entries?
No. If you need to change an entry, or have made a mistake, just delete the entry and re-enter the correct details.
How do I delete an entry?
Open the menu on your ledger and go to View entries. Tap the red cross to delete your entry.
Can other people use my ledger?
Yes, just send them the web address of your ledger and they can add and delete entries. They don't even have to log in or create an account.
Why do the settle up numbers look odd?
The system works out a tidy way of paying everyone back. This may mean that you get paid by someone who you don't think owes you money (or vice versa).
Can I use it offline?
Yes, but it won't get entries added by other people. You can add entries youself and the system will tally everything up when you get back online.
Can I change the currency?
Yes, just tap the currency box and select the new currency.
How do you work out the exchange rate?
The system updates the exchange rates every hour. Your device will need to be online to get the latest rate.
How do you make money?
We have a number of successful products including SignUpAnywhere which allow us to embark on projects that excite us. We don't currently charge for Splitteroo but we are planning to add premium features in the future.
Is my data safe?
Yes, we go to great lengths to ensure your data is safe and secure. We will never ever sell, distribute or lease your email address or the data you collect to third parties. All Splitteroo data is encrypted over HTTPS with an industry-standard 2048 bit SSL certificate. Data is encrypted as it is sent to the server, and then encrypted when accessed, so it can’t be intercepted (e.g. over insecure WiFi). Data deleted from your account will be removed from the system and, for the sake of privacy and security, is unrecoverable.
Our servers are located in high-security ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 compliant data centers in the UK and Ireland. The facilities have state-of-the-art cooling, power, security and network capabilities. All databases are password protected and firewalled to prevent outside access, and our servers are regularly security patched to minimise the risk of intrusion.
We know what data we store, we know where it exists, where it is held, how it is managed and who has access to it.
